Today was a win for my yoga practice. I was out of town for the night and determined that my mat practice wasn’t going to just stop because of hotel carpet.
So, groggy and cold—the down side to sharing a room is that nobody but me considers 80ºF (about 26ºC) room temperature—, I crawled out of bed, put on my Betsi socks (thanks again! they’re so toasty warm), spread out a large towel on the floor, and went straight into my 7-minute promise.
That’s not the best part though. I mean, yes, it was a win because I got over the germ issue and did my routine on a high traffic hotel carpet; but the best part was having my travel companion ask me later that day if I would share my routine with her. Yes! Sometimes “easy and short” is not all that believable until you can see it. It really does take about 7 minutes.
The big win times two is both sharing the yoga bug and her reaction to my tiny routine. It fuels my motivation to keep rolling out of bed and on to my mat.
It’s been a good day.
Happy to hear this!
